Lots of nail obsessing... (sorry to those who don't 'do' nails!)

This is my first attempt at a franken-polish holographic topcoat using some Lumos fast-dry topcoat and a smidgen of Spectraflair pigment (put into the bottle with a tiny plastic funnel from an old hairdye kit). I used a little too much, you can see it is opaque on my middle finger. I think it's a combination of too much pigment and the fast dry topcoat meaning it's hard to spread out so you can see the colour underneath. I am in the process of figuring out how to thin it down. Anyway... This was one coat over Illamasqua Scarab. I had been meaning to try out this for a while, when I perfect it, just think of all the colours of holo-polish I can create.

I haven't been wearing much exciting make-up this week. I am being given lots of interesting demos at work to help my artistry so I will be back to posting interesting looks soon (promise). At the minute, my nails are my main obsession - I got some of the A-England Legends collection and can't wait to try them out! I also picked up OPI Save Me (from the Nicki Minaj collection) when I stumbled upon it in a nail bar in the shopping centre I work in. (I literally sat down on a bench opposite it to eat my sandwich and it shone out at me like a beacon. Couldn't stop myself. I mean... bar glitters!?)

A-England Ascalon (under a lamp, there's no sunshine to show off the holo-shimmer today, only clouds.)

 A-England Princess Sabra (lamp-light.)

OPI Save Me over A-England Ascalon (hard to photograph my thumbs...)

(in daylight... dull, overcast English daylight no less. But lookie, you can see the purple sheen it has. Pretty!)

That's right I have mismatched hands... what of it? Three more left to try - St George, Bridal Veil and Order of the Garter. I already love them sooo very much. Can't wait to wear them in Spring/Summer and 'look at them shine'.

    1. Scarab is amazing, not the most original colour but the Illamasqua nail polish formula is effortlessly amazing.
