Shimmery Pigmenty Rainbow FOTD

Great title, right? (I am sooo imaginative). This is just a quick look I wore yesterday to work. More photos and products under the cut.

Products (all MAC because it was for work, like...) -
Brows - Studio Sculpt Concealer in NC15 with Vibrant Grape, Atlantic Blue and Electric Eel eyeshadows.
Eye base - Soft Ochre Paint Pot
Eyeshadows - (Pigments) Bright Fuscia, Copper Sparkle, Old Gold, Golden Olive and Cornflower pigments. Grape pigment underneath the eye. Crease blended out with Embark and Copperplate, all edges blended with Brule (up to brow).
Liner - Superslick Liquid Liner in On the Hunt (black). Hi-Def Cyan Pencil with Electric Eel pressed on top (along waterline).
Mascara - I'm using up a Clinique tester before I move onto my new tube of Opulash. Oops. At least it's an Estee Lauder brand :-/ (I loathe to use two mascaras at once, so that's that).
Face - Prep + Prime Fortified Skin Enhancer (with SPF 35) in Neutralize (I am trying out Adjust and Neutralize, atm, just because!), Studio Fix foundation in NC15, Prolongwear Concealer in NC20, set with Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Light Plus. Blush is Harmony (as a light contour) and Desert Rose. I patted a little Pink Rebel Lustre Drops on the top of my cheekbones because I'm trying to perfect contouring and highlighting like a good like salesgirl (that sounded creepy somehow...)

Customers seem to like it when I wear bright make-up, with my hair being so bright I suppose it's even expected. I am happy to oblige, anyway. When I got to work I put on Seasoned Plum Prolongwear lipcreme from the Daphne Guinness collection (with one of the glosses on top... I forget which). It was pretty rainbow-y and quite well received. Yay!

My nails were Sally Hansen complete manicure in Calypso Blue with my -decanted into a smaller bottle for easier use- Lumos fast dry topcoat (which is my new favourite thing since sliced bread! I highly recommend the stuff. I have not heard a bad word said by anyone ever, and it is worth every penny. And will not kill your babies like some others... or something.) Fingers crossed it stays so lovely and easy to spread out, unlike my previous favourite Essie Good to Go (which always got a bit too gloopy at the half way mark). My base, as always, is my recently repurchased Essie Fill the Gap (my third bottle to date).

Sorry for the above rambles, I am just very excited because Kevyn Aucoin's book Making Faces arrived in the post today. I ordered it almost two weeks ago and cannot wait to read it. After my disappointment reading a Bobbi Brown book (aside - I found it in a charity shop so really I shouldn't complain anymore, as it was for a good cause and also cheap... but boy does she have some whacked out views in my opinion)
I can't wait to read this one. I've heard nothing but good things!

  6. I'm only in work 3 days a week now, but yes, I wish I could wear all my other brands too. I don't mind too much, there's always a new collection to try. And I have four days a week I can wear whatever I like! (I haven't been wearing much recently though, having a bit of downtime.)

  7. GORGEOUS! And I love the rainbow look with your hair! (I love everything you do, though, so don't feel pressured to have to do rainbow stuff all the time.) :)
