Attempt at a darker EOTD

I love colourful make-up but I feel like I neglect darker looks. For this reason, I have been using Blackout from the Urban Decay 15th Anniversary palette quite a lot. Yesterday I wore this to work. I used Pixie Epoxy for a pop of shimmer in the centre of the lid and patted MAC Mutiny Pigment on top. I used Blackout and Evidence for the smokey edges and Vanilla as a brow highlight. NYX jumbo pencil in Milk was my sticky base for Sugarpill chromalust in Tiara (silver) as my inner corner highlight.

I'm setting off for Edinburgh tonight (at 1am! "I drooooove all niiiiiiiiiiiiiiight...") to see Evelyn Evelyn and am thinking of emulating Daisy and Violet Hilton for the gig. I dig their soft smokey eye!

This does mean that I won't be posting for a few days, but I'll be back Friday with photos. Sadly, it's straight back to my day job on Saturday and Sunday. I have a feeling I'm going to be tired. Do you have any exciting plans this week?

  1. I'm apartment hunting all week which is a complete shit way to spend my days but has to get done. This reminds me a lot of Ronnie's 'Sloth' look, very pretty!

  2. I don't really have much this week in the way of plans. Yesterday was my sister's birthday and on Saturday I'm going to see Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

Beautiful look! I really like your blending.

  3. Isn't Blackout just the best black ever, though? I used to avoid blacks because they were a pain in the ass, but this one... this one might just have me rockin' dark looks more often.

I hope they re-release it. It's just too nice.

As for my week's plans, what I may have planned got tossed out the window when I got sick. Booooo.

  4. Hi! Can you tell me what blue hair dye you have been using in the past few posts? Is it Special Effects? If so, what color? THANKS! (It looks great by the way!)

  7. Meredith - You know that's what I wish it looked like. Thanks :) Hope you find a nice place.

Vijaya - Aaah! You're reading. Hi! Hope you had a good time watching those damn dirty apes ;)

Bekka - Yessss I love it so much. And hope you feel better by now? xx

colleenco - At the moment it's a mix of La Riche Directions Neon Blue and Special Effects Electric Blue. I liked Special Effects Blue Velvet best (I very similar colour, fades slower, bit darker initially), and that's what I'm going back to when I run out of the current colour. Thanks :)

Sugarbumpkin - your name is amazing and thanks :D

Mani - Thanks. I assure you it is not ;)

Vulcan - I want more pigments, I only have two :( It is my new lemming of the month. Like, all MAC pigments ever.
