Bird of Paradise FOTD

This reminded me of a bird of paradise flower when I was finished with all it's craziness, so that's what I'm calling it, something bright and cheery to ring in the New Year. This is the sort of make-up I don't have the time to do for work (plus I'm scared co-workers would laugh at me or something! And the products aren't all MAC!)

In the sunlight (I liked the shadows the lashes made).




Never quite exactly even but then neither is my face (ZING!)


Eyeshadow base - Urban Decay Eden primer potion. MAC Soft Ochre paint pot under brow.
Eyeshadows - MAC Golden Rod e/s (inner lid) and Naked pigment (brow and inner corner highlight), Illamasqua Trollop (outer lid), MAC Nebula pigment used wet with Water-Based mixing medium for cut crease and liner along top lashes, with Urban Decay Omen blended on top.
Brows - Sugarpill Dollipop (over MAC Studio Sculpt concealer in NW20).
Mascara/Waterline/Lower lash line - Maybelline Great Lash in Black, Urban Decay Humid pencil with MAC Lucky Green pressed on top. Nebula pigment lined down underneath as well, with a touch of MAC black superslick liquid liner to emphasize inner corner.
False Lashes - Illamasqua no. 11 on top with Mister Mascara blue lashes on the bottom.
Skin/Blush - MAC Strobe cream with Studio Fix NC15, Prolongwear concealer NC20 (under eyes), Illamasqua Cream Blush in Devour (bright red), MAC MSF Natural in Light Plus to set.
Lips - Illamasqua Pristine (matte black) lipstick.

    !!!!!!!! I've always liked your looks but you seem to have reached a whole new stratosphere of awesome since working at MAC. The lashes are EVERYTHING, wish I had a pair!

    AKSJDLKJASLDKJALSKD THIS IS AMAZING. Seriously, I love how it's all bird of paradise-y but then you have the gothy lip and the badass hair, so it's like an evil bird of paradise :D

    And why would they laugh at you? :O I've seen people at MAC with makeup like this!

    :D HAPPY DANCE TIMES. Thanks for all the lovely comments, you make me so happy.

    I have been braving wearing bolder looks to work thanks to all your positive responses. I think because I'm not trained in make-up and the fact that I wear all kinds of clashing colours gets me worried people will judge. For me, colour is what MAC is about so thanks for the encouragment.
    (Fingers crossed I get to full MAC training soon and then it's time to be afraid, be very afraid cuz who knows what's gonna be on my face then!)
