Couple of Easter EOTD's - now with bonus nails/cake

This eye look used MUA Make-up Academy shade 6 (pearly turqoise) on the lid with a mixture of Sugarpill Darling (matte teal with glitter) and Illamasqua Sadist (matte royal blue) in the crease. A tiny bit of Barry M number 65 (a green glitter/shimmer on white base) on the inner corner. I also tightlined with Urban Decay Zero 24/7 liner.

This look used lots of my Inglot colours that are listed in this post! I have yet to use my yellow AMC Matte gel liner and might do a similar look for work tomorrow using it instead of the green one. I liked the more subtle effect (if you could call it that) that not using a coloured base provides (I didn't even use NYX jumbo pencil this day). I know this is a rainbow of colours, but it's somehow quite soft. My only problem with it was my right eye 'leaked' that day, and ruined the liner. I find if Illamasqua precision ink gets wet it becomes tacky and peels off... which means it doesn't streak down your face but does make big patches which is equally as bad if not worse. Anyway...

I cannot be bothered to fill in my brows recently. In other news, I didn't wear any make-up at all today because I woke up with a splitting headache. Seems to have passed thanks to some trusty paracetamols and lots of fluids. In a video about vintage make-up this week, Lisa Eldridge mentioned a book called Warpaint about the lives of Elizabeth Arden and Helena Rubinstein. I bought it off amazon and I started reading it today at work, sat at the shop till. Interesting stuff.

Thanks for looking, I'm feeling really happy because I got to forty followers which is more than I ever expected. Woo!

PS

Gel food colourings are nearly as good as gel liners! I made this cupcakes earlier this week. Chocolate icing. Om nom nom.

Nubar Reclaim mani after two days handling small change at a cash register, small chips but so pretty in the recent sunshine.
