MAC Haul

I bought a ridiculous amount of things yesterday. The sad thing is I don't freelance (as I was asked when I bought it). I'd really love to in the future... But anyway. Selfishly I wanted my first ever (>:o shock horror, how can it be so) 15 eyeshadow palette and the eyeshadows to fill it, lots more lashes to wear at work, a powder to set my foundation (still not quite found a favourite) and many brushes. I also got (not pictured) Up the Amp lipstick and Springbean lipgloss because I wear them all the time at work (due to them matching my fringe).

There were a few errors I have moaned about on twitter which mean I can't really use the eyeshadows yet (hello, empty blush palette!) which means my bank will truly think I've lost all brain power later on today when I spend yet more on another palette (Edit: it worked out ok, I used Debenhams points card to get one for free at work...) but overall, I'm pretty happy with this (even though the bank balance is anorexic now). For you see, it is a great excuse to go back and buy six blush refill pans!

I bought eight pairs of lashes (but some are for Christmas gifts), two mascaras including Opulash in Bad Bad Black for myself, MSF Natural in Light Plus, ten brushes (pictured below, only three are going in my brush belt ...yay!)
The eyeshadows I got are as follows -
Brule, Carbon, Embark, Satin Taupe, Copperplate and Scene (more natural-y neutral colours).
Goldenrod, Lucky Green, Plumage, Crystal, Tilt, Electric Eel, Atlantic Blue, Vibrant Grape and Cranberry.
(I had wanted a few other neutrals but they were out of stock... so I got a bit colour happy which is as per usual anyway). I'll try to show a picture of this later when it's all sorted out, I can ney wait! (What, am I Scottish now? No).

I have lots more to post but I'm running out of time to get ready for work so I will >fingers crossed< be back tomorrow. Thanks for reading if you did,

Ruth xx

  4. Awwwwwwww. I was so excited!

Yes, I get a discount at the stand-alone stores but not at my own counter. And as it's a 45 min train journey to the nearest one, I thought I'd make the most of it while I have it. I am only temping, fingers crossed I still have a job come mid-January...

Robyn - I got the egg shaped one and that ma-hoosive powder one I always wanted. They are sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo nice. (Notice how I still don't know numbers :| )
