Adventure Time Inspired Series - Lady Rainicorn

Lady Rainicorn is a rainbow unicorn cross breed, companion of Princess Bubblegum and Jake the Dog's girlfriend. She speaks in Korean although sometimes she wears a universal translator so people other than Jake and her parents can understand her. (Of course this all makes perfect sense within the context of the cartoon :-p)

I based this look on her length, wigglyness and colours (although the blue did not come out as planned :( )
Anyhoo, more pictures and list of product if you click...

Last of the July 2011 EOTDs

These are my last few looks from July. Where has the first half of the year gone? Ah!
I thought I'd do a little end of the month round up with these as there's nothing too unusual about them, but I feel like they're worth posting. I was trying out my The Balm eyeshadows and Hot Mama blush and the gel liner as a base technique.

Products under the cut.

Two Kinda Smokey EOTD's

Two simple smokey eyes I did for work.

This first one used UDPP in Eden with Urban Decay Buck and Naked in the crease and Virgin to highlight (from the Naked palette). The main lid colour was Fyrinnae Immortality on the lid (my glitteryest black), packed on over their Pixie Epoxy.

I couldn't quite capture it's beauty on camera.
It was so rainbow sparkle, I had clearly forgotten just how gorgeous it is.

And look number 2...

Today I used some of my Inglot colours - matte 371 (bright blue) and 384 (a little green under the eye), AMC shine 28 (purpley glitter on inner corner) and AMC 65 (glittery black on lid).
To enhance the colours I used a little NYX Jumbo pencil in Milk and Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Perversion as coloured bases (over my UDPP of course) and tightlined with Perversion also.

This is nothing too different or special I know,
but I am enjoying trying out more than my usual all out colourful eyes! It feels a bit more subtle.

Now, in other news, tomorrow I will announce the winner of my giveaway.
I have a confession to make - I haven't yet dared to read the feedback that I myself requested! I'm not sure why, slightly nerves and slightly life getting in the way. Obviously, I will read it before I generate a winner, and I will take it all into account and make a little summary for myself to go by.

If you haven't entered, I will once more urge you to do so here!

Disney Sidekick Pain and Panic/Vani inspired EOTD

I had wanted to do a blue and red eye-look inspired by Pain and Panic from Disney's Hercules since I first started the *sort of* series I have going. (So far I did Zazu (Lion King), Flit (Pocahontas) and Mushu (Mulan) incase you missed it.)
I always love seeing Disney themed looks on other blogs and on youtube so I'm continuing with it.

Look at those little guys. The comic relief of Hercules. My hair is partly inspired by their master Hades too, as he is blue through and through ("aye- verse- oi!"

Another awesome blue haired person is Vani the shop girl (who along with Yuka models for and sells Japanese brand 6%Dokidoki). Isn't she awesome? She wears one eye red, one eye blue quite often. I'd call it her signature eye-makeup. Well... I stole it. She first came to my attention through Shrinkle's blog, the founder of Sugarpill who I have been following online since I was about 16. Yes, I am an internet stalker.
In honour of this obsession fact the main lid colours for each eye are from Sugarpill (Love+ and Afterparty).

Products
Base - UDPP in Eden, NYX Jumbo pencil in Milk (inner corner).
Eyeshadows on blue side - MAC Wisteria eyeshadow (Light blue from l/e Dame Edna trio), Sugarpill Afterparty, Fyrinnae 1.22 Gigawatts (crease), Inglot .
Eyeshadows on red side - Urban Decay Heat deluxe eyeshadow, Sugarpill Love+, Inglot raspberry red (AMC 74) and matte skintone (352) and white (373) to blend to brow.
Liner - Blue Kryolan cream liner, Red Inglot gel liner (79), UD Perversion to tightline/on waterline (set with black from Sleek Acid palette).
Mascara - Boujois Volumizer in Black.
Brows - Fyrinnae 1.22 gigawatts mixed with Illamasqua sealing gel.
Face - Laura Mercier oil free tinted moisturizer in Porcelain, Clinique translucent powder, Sleek blush in Santorini and some MAC beauty powder in Pretty Baby to tone it down a bit (from Hello Kitty l/e collection).

My brows would work better this way if I had no brow hairs. I don't know if I dare go there. I'm sure I'll figure out smart blue brows soon.
Thanks for looking,

Purple Fyrinnae EOTD

This look used two Fyrinnae purples - Senyo and Faerie Glamour. I used Urban Decay Hustle from the Naked Palette on the outer edge and under the bottom lashes. This was a fair few days back and I've forgotten all the other products but they weren't anything exciting or new. Just posting this as I was uploading some others and had forgotten this one. Couple more looks to follow,

Red & Green Spring eyes and some nail stuff.

I did this look about a week back and I might struggle to recall all the colours. I really like red and green together... so there! At the Illamasqua course they said 50's flick eyeliner should look like an almost straight line when your eyes are shut... I think I'm improving.

Base: UDPP, NYX Jumbo pencil in Milk (inner corner) and Illamasqua cream pigment in Bedaub (pale mint green) under eye and on waterline.

On top lid - Urban Decay Heat (golden shimmering rusty red) with Inglot AMC 74 (matte Raspberry with glitter) in crease blended out with Inglot 352 (matte skin tone colour).

On lower lid - Fyrinnae's Jade Ghost (inner corner) and Anenome with a little Inglot 372 (matte teal) on outer corner.

Eyebrows: I *think* this was MAC Stud eyebrow pencil.

To finish off I used Illamasqua Precision Ink in Abyss as my liner, Boujois Volumizer mascara and my usual foundation (a mix of Illamasqua Rich Liquid in 140 and Clinique Almost Make-up in shade 1, set with Clinique translucent powder). I contoured with Sleek's contour/highlight set in light. It looks as if I used a little of the lighter half of MAC Mighty Aphrodite WW blush, but I might be wrong.

I've been having a nail loving and obsessing time recently. I have bought four new polishes in the last two weeks! Ut-oh. I got two new Illamasqua ones in an ASOS.com sale for about £10 (the two from Art of Darkness - Scarab and Viridian) At that price, how could I resist?

I also got a flakey topcoat back-up (my first *ever* nail polish back up) and green holographic colour from an ebay seller (Nubar 2010 - as a back-up for my Andrea Fullerton gemstone topcoat and Nubar Reclaim, the latter which I spotted in this post here and fell in love with.) These two arrived today and I have yet to try my new (and first ever) holographic little baby. I love it just that much... aaah!

I paint my nails every few days. As a bonus (or is it?), here is a photo of them. My excuse is 'I work in a children's museum - ok?!'

Illamasqua nail polishes in Alarm, Insanity, Wayward, Radium and Fern.

I need to sort my nail tags and dry cuticles out... Thanks for looking (if you did),

Subtley Magentric EOTD

This look used UDPP, Nyx jumbo pencil in Milk, Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy (lid only), UD Naked palette ''Naked'' and ''Buck'' (applied first in the crease), Fyrinnae Crimson Ghost in tearduct and Sugarpill Magentric on the lid.

I lined my lower waterline with UD 24/7 liner in Rockstar and my black liquid eyeliner at the moment is Illamasqua Precision Ink in Abyss and Boujois Volumizer mascara. I use Clinique almost make-up (shade 1) and translucent powder. My blush is Bite of an Apple from the MAC Venomous Villains collection.

Final shot shows how pretty this looked in the warm evening sunlight.

Experiments with Darling, Tipsy. Absinthe and Midori

Products used: UDPP, Kryolan gel liner - Aqua blue (under eyeshadow), NYX Jumbo pencil - Milk (inner corner), Fyrinnae Winter again, Sugarpill e/s Darling and Midori, Mac e/s - Newly Minted, Sleek Acid Palette - khaki green (to help fading out towards brow), Kryolan aquacolor interferenz Green (under lower lashes).

Products used: UDPP, Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy, NYX Jumbo pencil - Milk, Fyrinnae Banana Mochi, Sugarpill e/s in Buttercupcake, Sugarpill Chromalusts in Absinthe and Tipsy, Illamasqua e/s in Sadist (to darken outer V), Bodyshop green liquid liner (over Illamasqua Precision Ink in Abyss).

Today I tried out Boujois Volumizer 2 step Mascara. I bought it months ago on offer and I really like it. It was quite tricky to work with but I thought the results were worth the trouble. Now I just need a better eyelash curler (sigh).

Suzy/Macnc40 inspired EOTD

I finally messed around with Magentric and I like! Went a little bit mad using glitter (two kinds of glitter from Barry M and two shimmery Chromalusts) and it was dark before I was done... (I want lots of lamps with natural effect light bulbs - next purchase!) Now onto the (bad) photos.

I used:
UDPP
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy
NYX Milk jumbo pencil
UD Zero 24/7 pencil eyeliner
Barry M dazzledust no. 65 (green iridescent) and fine glitter (pink)
Sugarpill Chromalusts in Magentric and Tipsy
Sugarpill pressed shadows in Midori and Afterparty.

This look was inspired by an absolutely amazing tutorial MacNC40 put up on youtube months back... it is absolutely gorgeous! At least I have something to aim for... but I think I'm improving.
